Alan and Beth Smithey have over 30 years of combined Insurance and Retirement Planning experience. In 1981, Alan started in the Health Insurance Market selling health plans to individuals selling over $10,000,000.00 in annual premiums. Seeing his success, Alan was offered an opportunity to grow with an Independently Owned Life Insurance Agency and helped recruit and train agents. Within a few years, Alan had developed his own sales system, phone scripts, marketing lead, and recruited and trained over 6,000 agents helping them to write over $150,000,000 in annual sales. With success in the air, in 2000, Alan was approached by another company to take the position as Vice President of Marketing and Sales and build a Life Division from the ground up. Taking his sales and marketing expertise to another level, Alan spent 16 years building a solid, successful, Mortgage Protection Life Insurance Agency generating over $25,000,000.00 in annual sales and developing several multi-million dollar producers.

In 2000, coming out of the Mortgage Industry, Beth began to sell Health Insurance plans to the self-employed. In 2003, she was offered an opportunity to sell Mortgage Protection Life Insurance with another agency. From 2003 until 2012 she was always one of the top 5 producers and taught a training class on setting appointments. In 2013, after a tragic auto accident, she became certified in Retirement and Estate Planning bringing a more valuable layer of protection to her existing clients.

With Industry and marketing changes, in 2016, Alan and Beth decided to step out on their own and build a family-owned Agency, which is when Retirement and Mortgage Protectors, was founded. Bringing together different talents and expertise, they are building a strong, stable, Agency with access to over 30 “A” Rated carriers. They believe it is important to find the right policy for you and your family, understanding each families needs and budget are different. Insurance can be complex, but with their hands-on and easy to follow sales concept, appointment setting skills, expertise in marketing, underwriting, and sales training, the solution is simple.

Building an Agent-Owned Insurance Agency with Christian values, treating agents like family, and working personally with each of them to ensure they meet their goals is a big part of the culture they are creating for their agency. They currently have satellite offices all across the United States, servicing out Great Nation.
